Jane Jane was shocked. Not because of the price of the watch her guest had shown her, but the fact that he had actually asked for it. She always thought he was unlike the other boys in the country club, in school.
"You seriously want the Odyssey?" Jane asked in disbelief.
The Odyssey, as the name suggests is a legend in its own right. The face of the watch is twenty-two carat gold, with two rows of diamonds bordering its round face. The straps of the watch are entirely made up of diamonds of different sizes including two 1-carat diamonds. She knew because her mother has one. The price of the watch was approximately $10000 or so. Her guest nodded.
"Very well. You may leave now. Jacques will inform you when the watch arrives."
Jane watched from the window as her guest was escorted out. She sighed. For once she thought she could build a friendship upon real feelings and not because of her wealth or her family status. Sensing her disappointment, Jacques walked over to the window.
"Young missy, this matter perplexes me as it does you. Might I suggest some investigation into this outrageous request?" Jacques asked, trying to help.
"Do as you please Jacques. I'm just sorry that I thought he would be any different."
