here's
Pt V(b) of Behind 2 Pairs of EyesZacharyZachary's host led him to the sitting room. The design of the room was beautiful. Bookshelves and sideboards were had intricate designs on them and from his brief stint in the furniture factory, he knew that everything in the room amounted to at least half a million. If only he had all this, his problems would be solved
As far as he could see his host resembled the room. Her soft curls glowed in the warmth of the fireplace accentuating her flawless skin. And her eyes. Eyes that seemed to have so much depth and soul, the Pacific Ocean would be ashamed. Yet it seemed to contain so much sorrow that it sometimes hurt to look at her.
"Well, I've discussed with Jacques and we’ve decided that we would replace your watch with any make or model you would like. Here are some brochures that you can refer to."
Zachary politely took the brochure and flipped through. All the watches in there were at least a thousand dollars, hundreds of times more than his watch could ever cost. But it was not enough. He dug into his pocket, took out a piece of paper and fiddled with it. Should he or should he not?
