i feel a complusion to blog now after watching England's lose to Portugal on penalties
Maybe it's just me but for the past 2h 45mins adrenaline was seriously what they call 'surging' thru my veins..sure that may be an exaggeration but that's how i really felt..kept at the edge of my seat..haha quite fun..this match was particularly exciting for me cuz on 1 hand i like England as a team so i was rooting for England but on the other hand Christiano Ronaldo is one of the Man U players i really like n so somehow England losing to a penalty by Christiano Ronaldo didn't feel that bad after all..i predicted that England would win by a small margin and there were chances they could have but i guess luck just wasn't on their side..anyway in spite of everything i MUST commend England..after going down to 10men with the seriously uncalled-for booking of Rooney they managed to keep the match a draw for an hour or so (haha glo the ref was Argentinian) which was when things really got scary and i felt my heart beat so much faster..oh n special mention to John Terry..with defending that saved England's butts on numerous occasion..k now i feel really drained..haha but strangely enough, i find myself rooting for Portugal now..partly for Christiano Ronaldo, and partly cuz i dun particularly favour any other remaining team to win..
And so the world bids farewell to the England team as they make their exit from the World Cup finals..
So this entry is a tribute to them of sorts
Despite the not-so-good plays in the earlier matches, they sweat their guts out 4 the matched that just passed and that in itself is something to be proud of, to have given it all you've got..
AND just a note to guys who think it impossible for girls to get football..we may not see stats or know the technicalities..but it IS possible to appreciate a game for its sheer magnificence and beauty (im not just talking about the good-looking players here) and that's true whether guys believe it or not ^-^
k i need to go to sleep now..waking up early for FHY bowling tournament tmr...
